Shin Ying Toastmasters Club: SYTC 174th meeting minutes, Sep. 2, 2014

In the opening, President Susan had the attendees look at a thousand-dollar bill to find differences we hadn't noticed before. She concluded, using the conclusion as the opening for the meeting, that we could always find differences even from what we've been very familiar with; we could always learn something new from each Toastmasters meeting.

In the Variety Session, we had Reader Theater as a warm-up activity. All the audience got engaged in the text of a humorous story and used their voice and gestures to perform the story together. In the manual session, we knew about our new member Ken; and from Kenneth's advanced speech, we learned how to utilize the art of communication to deliver a bad news with an indirect method. In the Table Topics Session, the master challenged the audience with questions related to the difficult situations we may encounter at work and the audience had a chance to think about how to "take things as they come".

Dear members and honorable guest, appreciate your attendance and participation which made the meeting very different and meaningful! We look forward to seeing you again in the next meeting!
