Shin Ying Toastmasters Club: SYTC 185th meeting minutes, Mar.03, 2015

This is the 1st meeting in the Year of the Sheep and we had a FLIPPED MEETING at the night~ As mentioned in the president Susan's personal interesting experience shared in the beginning illustrates, 2 ordinary items can become an outstanding creation if well used. It happened to our meeting too. A regular speech meeting can be very different.

Different from the past traditional regular meeting, we started with the evaluation session, having the evaluators to give predictable evaluation and comments based on their understanding of the speakers and their speech. Followed with the evaluation was the manual speech session in which speakers delivered their speech after listening to evaluators' comments and suggestions. The 1st speaker, Alice shared her personal story about how she improved herself from a 50-point learner to an English teacher. The 2nd speakers, a very supportive guest, brought a farewell and touching speech to review the 380 days of his alternative military service in Hsinying. And we're very touched to hear that Toastmaster has been part of these special days. The meeting ended up with the Variety Session, enabling attendees to have another chance of practicing English.

It was a very fresh beginning as well as a new try to SYTC. Thanks to members and guests' cooperation and dedication so we could create such a successful meeting full of joy and learning.
